Something Wonderful
Who really wins when the votes are tallied? The party? The candidate? The voter? The people?
Will the apologies fly as fast as the mud? Will will ever see a time again when we are supportive of each other and genuinely rejoice in another's triumph? Will looking out for the public's best interests become paramount amongst our elected leaders or will they continue in self agendas and partisan judgment for the sake of their party? Will we hold our officials accountable for their actions on our nation's behalf and provide a voice of encouragement or will we look away and shake our heads in dismay and disillusion?
Today's elections could be the beginning of something wonderful. It really rests on OUR shoulders.

You mentioned some "old head" problems -- fortunately for you old heads, we young'ins have a few on your list figured out. For example, there is absolute proof there is no such thing as "human-induced" global warming. Any "warming" of the Earth is preceded, or followed, by a "cooling" period - called a 'cycle'. Remember geophysics? Every action will have an opposite and equal reaction. Secondly, and most importantly, why pour hundreds of millions of dollars on top of hundreds of millions of dollars to find a cure for AIDS? We know how humans get AIDS -- what we don't know is how we get all the different forms of cancer. Let's spend the money on curing cancer first. Thirdly, I don't wanna know about any of your stiff "joints".
Thanks for the comments 2 days early and a couple thoughts short.
1) The "old head" problem I spoke of is "old head" leadership not being able to address the problems listed that affect ALL OF US. The problems listed are not exclusively for "old heads", everyone should have these concerns.
2) Never mentioned "human-induced" global warming, but there should be some "human-induced" solutions to what we know is cyclically coming.
3) Cancer is not new. AIDS is. The focus was MODERN day situations. If we were to make a list of diseases in need of cure, volumes would be needed. As far as contracting AIDS, I sincerely hope you never need a blood transfusion or have an overnight stay at a correctional facility or become a health provider or rescue worker or partner with someone-male or female-that has been exposed. As far as curing cancer first, there should be no first. All of our medical mysteries demand attention NOW without waiting in line. I do know there is a remedy for a sticky monkey. It's called soap and water.
4) My stiff joints. I'll try to keep them to myself.
Enjoy your day young'in, it is apparent you lead a full and vibrant life. Keep thinking and keep sharing.
